GENERAL NOTES
The Cake toppers will keep for up to 6 months once they have been printed providing they are stored in the sealed food bag provided and in a cool dry place away from moisture. Please ensure that the bag is sealed tight as the air might comprimise the integrity of the topper over long periods of time. Ingredients of all the toppers and inks are included below.
ICING SHEETS
The icing sheets can be removed from the backing paper by peeling it from one of the corners opposite the exposed plastic. The icing is thickest at these corners and it makes it easier to remove. We have uploaded a short video showing you how to do this which you can see below.
The icing sheets will bond to the icing on the cake and do not need anything to stick them down. All you have to do is moisten the icing on the cake using a few drops of water and then place the topper on top of the cake and press down gently to ensure even contact with the surface of the cake.
The icing sheets should NOT be stored in a fridge as this can cause the colours to run. You can use the topper a day or two in advance as long as the cake is not stored in a fridge.

RICE PAPER
Rice paper toppers are easy to use. You trim them to size and place them on top of your cake. You can hold them in place using edible glue or pipe icing around the edges.
These toppers should not be used on surfaces which are very wet such as fresh cream. They can be used on top of buttercream if it is only slightly moist. They work best if you stick them to slightly moist icing as it will be sticky rather than wet enough to cause the toppers to curl.
These toppers may appear dull; this is because they are printed on rice paper which is naturally transparent. This is normal and once the topper is placed on the white icing it will look a lot better. You can test this by placing a white sheet of paper underneath it.
RICE PAPER FAIRY CAKE TOPPERS
The same information above for the rice paper applies here. A tip for cutting the images out is to use a 4cm cookie cutter. You can place it over each image and apply some pressure and pop out the cake topper. This will make it a lot faster and more professional looking also.
